PRAGMALAB in contact with BaFin on PSD2 Account Information Service registration

PRAGMALAB took the next step toward registration as an Account Information Service Provides under EU PSD2 regulation.

Having shaped our PSD2 business model, the PSD2 technology prototype and related legal concepts, we are now in contact with BaFin and work on the fine-tuning of our AISP registration application.

BaFin, the Germany financial industry regulator, maintains a special group of PSD2 experts, providing statutory support to future PSD2 market actors, both on the banking and fintech side.

With our unique professional expertise in quantitative risk control, and technological compliance, we make sure that our PSD2 concept is able to guarantee first-class performance. From launch on, our white-label B2B and B2C account information solutions are fully compliant under the new European privacy, technology and financial regulation regime first moment on.

for us, this was one further opportunity to prove our new like.us data analysis and dashboard capabilities and our rapid business design approach.



PRAGMALAB shows new Dashboard and Data Analysis features at EuroCIS

Together with our partners at mfactory / openDesign, the 'like.us' technology has been successfully presented at the EuroCIS retail technology trade fair in Dusseldorf. The like.us concept combines social media with the IoT and advanced data analytics, it allows customers to like their favorite products, locations, or objects by a simple click or a QR code scan with their social media profile enable mobile devices

PRAGMALAB contributed to this project by analysing the available public social profile data, that has been provided by the visitors at our exhibition booth in real-time and presenting the results on our innovative dashboard. The analytics dashboard has been specifically designed to provide a responsive presentation of the social media analysis. This includes streams, customizable profile categorizationand identifying relevant aspects for innovative digital business models.



PRAGMALAB's new website has been launched

PRAGMALAB is actively updating its online contents. In course of this implementation programme, the previous version of the PRAGMALAB website has been reworked and the new website is now live.

The new website allows interested reader to get a better insight into the company's strategic vision, key skillsets and important initiatives in progress. It also provides links to the dedicated product and project websites developed by the company or in cooperation with further partners.



PRAGMALAB signs up for the EU Innovative Training Networks

We followed the call from the European Commission to propose for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks. As one of the participants of the academic cooperation COSinE (Complex Systems in Complex Environments), PRAGMALAB contributes to new scientific advances and knowledge transfer between theory and application. With twenty academic and non-academic participants spread all over the EU, COSinE will cover a wide range of areas in computational physics, complex systems, scientific computing, data processing and further adjacent disciplines.



Ms. Sophie Schmidt joined PRAGMALAB as new Communications Officer

PRAGMALAB's PSD2 Project Team placed at MindSpace Berlin

In order to further develop PRAGMALAB's strategic decision to register as an account information service provider under the EU PSD2 regulation, our team has now been placed at MindSpace Co-Working Office in Berlin, Germany, a popular location for innovative start-ups.

This new PSD2 workgroup location and the related networking opportunities are expected to be crucial for the overall success of the PRAGMALAB's registration process as AISP under EU PSD2 with BaFin / Bundesbank.

Following PRAGMALAB's strategic decision to register as an account information service provider under the EU PSD2 regulation and participation at the NextGenPSD2 XS2A Conference held by the Berlin Group on October 25, 2017, we have contributed to suggested API functions of the Berlin Group's working committee.

We believe that the combined effort by PRAGMALAB and the members of the Berlin Group will lead to a well-established industry standard satisfying all needs within the payment services sector.

Progressing steadily along our proposed roadmap towards our registration as an Account Information Services Provider (AISP) within the EU PSD2 regulation,we welcome Mr. Philipp Holz joining our team.

With his academic background in economics and social sciences,Mr. Holz will from now on support PRAGMALAB with focus on business development, PSD2 compliance and advisory projects.

Update on PRAGMALAB's EU Innovative Training Network cooperation

The selection process results for the EU ITN grants for 2018 have arrived. Unfortunately,PRAGMALAB's participation in the Innovative Training Network COSinE (Complex Systems in Complex Environments)– an envisioned academic-2-business research cooperation – has not reached the required score for this year's round.

With a 11% success rate for this year's panel, the COSinE community reassessed our joint application and isoptimistic towards the next application round. PRAGMALAB shares this assessment and looks forward to improve on ourCOSinE ITN pitch and succeed in the next EU ITN submission period.

PRAGMALAB stays committed to its fruitful cooperation with the academiccommunity and keeps investing in its numerous R&D activities.

PRAGMALAB joins DiDaServ research consortium

We at PRAGMALAB are happy to announce our participation in the 'Distributed Data Trading and Smart ServicePlatforms' (DiDaServ) consortium application for the 'Smart Data Economy' program with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. This program aims at promoting wider use of artificial intelligence methods and distributed-ledger data-solutions as key technologies for digitized businesses.

Teaming up with a highly diverse and innovative group of partners from academic and private researchinstitutes as well as digital businesses, PRAGMALAB will contribute to the DiDaServ consortium by designinga new data content valuation concept (Data Fair Value). We will also develop a number of dedicated smart data engines for the envisioned smart big data trading platform.
